DEAR CLIENTS & FRIENDS,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that as of March 14th, 2021 Vanilla Loft will be downsizing our business operations. We will be phasing out our in-house stylist’s department and evolving the brand to that of an independent studio.

Like many of you, we have spent much of this past year taking stock, learning, and re-evaluating. We know 2020 wasn’t easy for anyone, but it has made us appreciate our health, wonderful friends & family and a community that not just allows, but encourages us to take chances.

As we processed this past year, we have redefined our vision for Vanilla Loft to one that better aligns with our mission of holding space for artistic, individual & professional growth.

It is important for us to evolve the brand so that we may allow for the opportunity to connect in a more intentional and meaningful way with our broader stylist & business owner community, further our own education and pursue new collaborative initiatives.

As a private studio, we look forward to strengthening the quality of our client experience & service level, expanding our online boutique, and growing our hair artistry & business education platform.

For us personally, this shift will help us achieve a better work/life balance. We are eager to reconnect more virtually with our family & friends abroad after 5 years of not seeing them in person and await the time when we can safely visit them once again. Further we are looking forward to taking more time to cherish our connections locally.

When we set out to create Vanilla Loft in the beginning of 2017, we were beyond excited-- dreaming of not only having our own space but also creating something that truly embodied our vision. We desired something that felt as relaxed as being at home-- no pretentiousness, unfriendly faces or loud vibes (always cherishing lots of laughter), simply good music, warm coffee, and hair that highlights natural beauty.

After finding the perfect location in our new hometown, we were fortunate enough to work with talented local designers. Our dreams were becoming a reality and watching the salon concept take shape is to this day, one of our proudest moments as business owners.

Over the years we have had the opportunity to work alongside many incredibly talented artists, forged lasting relationships with our wonderful clientele, expanded our retail lines, launched an ecommerce store, collaborated with brilliant content creators and most recently we have developed our online education platform and shadowing program.
We feel so incredibly fortunate to have spent the past three years living our dream, creating something that has resonated with so many of you. Vanilla Loft was made special by the amazing people who walked through our door. We will truly miss seeing so many of you. It was an honor and entirely impossible without this marvelous community.
